The country will be in a dangerous situation in September – Government Medical Officers’ Association

According to the Government Medical Officers’ Association, the country would have been inundated by September if the country had not been isolated in the face of the current pandemic.

Its chairman Dr Rukshan Bellana says that due to the current epidemic situation, strict travel restrictions should be imposed in the country for at least another three weeks.

He says it is a wrong precedent that some trade unions are trying to extend their terms under the guise of spreading the pandemic demic.

He said these while he was addressing a media briefing at the Narahenpita Abhayaramaya.
