The Information Technology Association of Sri Lanka (ICTA) says that several leading government websites, including the Presidential Secretariat, have been hacked. The statement issued by them stating this is as follows.
The Sri Lanka Information Technology Association was able to identify websites such as the Presidential Secretariat, the Ministry of External Affairs, the Medical Research Institute, the Survey Department of Sri Lanka, the Family Health Bureau and the North-Western Provincial Management Development and Training Unit which have been subjected to a massive cyber attack today ( June 4)
The Information Technology Association of Sri Lanka (ICTA) has pointed out that such cyber attacks could be carried out targeting government websites and we point out that this situation has arisen due to the government’s inattention to this matter.
