Due to the passage of the Colombo Port City Bill by Sri Lanka Police security in Tamil Nadu has been beefed up, Indian media reports

The move comes on the surface because of intelligence reports which confirmed that protests will be held against the Colombo port city in Tamil Nadu.

According to “The Hindu”, India has a high diplomatic and strategic focus on the Chinese port city of Colombo.
