Former Member of Parliament Ven. Baddegama Samitha Thero has passed away due to coronavirus infection.

He passed away while receiving treatment at a private hospital in Matara. He was 59 years old at the time of his death.

Meanwhile, it is also reported that Panduwasnuwara Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman RPD Sunil Jayaweera has died due to a corona infection.

He was admitted to the IDH in Colombo due to a virus infection. He died while receiving treatment at the hospital.

He was 60 years old at the time of his death. He represented the Sri Lanka People’s Front.
