A woman who came to a house in Wellampitiya to attend a service conducted by a pastor using zoom technology has been diagnosed with the covid infection.

Wellampitiya Public Health Inspector Ajith Vithanage said that the woman and her husband were identified as infected after a PCR test.

Accordingly, members of six families who participated in the service have been sent for 14 days of quarantine as her associates.

The pastor who conducted the service using zoom technology was also summoned to the scene and the public health inspectors advised him to come to the office of the Chief Medical Officer for further investigations.
