It is reported that Laugfs Gas Company, which is engaged in the gas trade in Sri Lanka, is facing a serious financial crisis.

According to the reports their gas tanks are not available in most stores in the country and the company in talks not to import gas unless a price increase is made in the future.

The company has repeatedly requested the government to increase the price of gas in the local market as well as increase the price in the world market.

Laugfs Gas accounts for about 30% of the local gas market.
