The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) has decided to hold a separate May Day rally to mark International Labor Day on May 1; the General Secretary of the party Minister Dayasiri Jayasekara stated.

Also the party had decided to invite other government parties to join the relly. He said that all parties in the UPFA, including Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, would be invited to join the May Day rally.

Accordingly the invitation cards would be sent to them. He also said that Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva will be participating in the May Day rally as the representative of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party.

He said these while speaking to the media after a discussion at the SLFP headquarters.
