At least 1,600 Tamil youth from the Jaffna district have joined the Sri Lanka Army within the period of three months, Army Commander Shavendra Silva said while addressing the Security Forces officials at the Jaffna Headquarters today (April 15).
He further noted about the service given by the Army and Air Force in the Jaffna district in taking the lead to provide necessary quarantine facilities for the general public.
