Three women were died and a man was injured collision between a container and a three-wheeler in NuwaraEliya today (April 1)

The lorry was coming from behind crashed and toppled on three wheeler NuwaraEliya Welimada main road.

The three wheeler was going towards Welimada and the lorry too was heading towards the same direction crashed on to the threewheeler from behind as a result of the driver of the container not being able to control the vehicle, Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said.

The driver of the threewheeler was severely injured and admitted to the Nuwara Eliya Hospital.

Driver of the lorry had escaped after the accident, but the police arrested the lorry’s helper and a special Police team has been investigating to apprehend the lorry driver.
