Tamil diaspora groups banned The Government has banned a number of Tamil diaspora groups. The gazette notice issued to ban the organizations and it has been signed by Defence Secretary Kamal Gunaratne. All the banning processes done under the under Regulation 4(7) of the United Nations Regulations No. 1 of 2012. Some of them gwere banned in 2014 but again were de-listed by the Government in 2015 by the existed government Most of the de listed groupes considered as they have moderated their views and they have an intention to attempt to seek their support to development of the North by the former existed government. But, the present government administration considers these groups as still being linked to terrorism and a threat to national security of the sri lanka. Government has banned groups based in UK, Germany, Italy, Malaysia and several other countries. IP dies in a motorbike accident

An Inspector of Police (IP) died after his motorbike he crashed into a a parked bowser today (March 28). Incident occurred at Kalagedihena Junction on the Colombo-Kandy Main Road. The deceased Inspector of Police (IP) was attached to the Gampaha Traffic Division and 36 years old. He is a resident of Nugadeniya. He has been admitted to the Wathupitiwala Hospital and the driver of the bowser was arrested for parking the vehicle without proper safety protocols.

The charities explained that the company’s should be aware effect and must consider the impact on vulnerable peoples body image. But Tik Tok rejected the concerns and said the apps did not break advertising guidance of the platform and they are continuing to enhance the apps as the appa encouraging the body positivity. But some of the social media platforms banned apps like fasting apps and weight toss suppliments last year . Smart bus halts will be established in Sri lanka

Sri lanka is going to establish more than 3000 smart bus halts Highways, Minister Johnston Fernando said. The smart bus halts going to free Wi-Fi and other facilities and will be spread islandwide.The first smart bus halt was opened near the HSBC Bank in Rajagiriya by Minister Johnston Fernando. Smart Bus halts will contain facilities like Free Wi-Fi, Phone charging, and Digital Tv. Also all the passengers who take shelter at these bus halts will be automatically covered by Rs. one million worth insurance and it will be protected by CCTV cameras for 24 hours.
Makassar explosion; Suicide bomb blast outside a Catholic church in the Indonesia

A suicide bomber detonated blasted as people were leaving a service for Palm Easter Sunday outside a Catholic church in the Indonesian city of Makassar Indonesia today ( March 28) It was reported that at least 10 people were injured from the incident but no one has yet not claimed that who is behind this attack. Father Wilhemus Tulak, a priest at the church said security guards had tackled the suspected bomber and also explained that attacker arrived by motorbike and tried to get into the church.
Search to find a 15 years old boy dragged away by crocodile in Sampur

The Sampur Police, Navy and residents of the area are conducting a joint search operation to find a 15-year-old boy who was dragged away by a crocodile yesterday evening (March 27). Three boys went to lttikulam tank in Sampur to bath and one of them had gone missing following the incident, Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said. He futher urged the public to follow precautionary actions and the warnings to avoid attacks by crocodiles and also mentioned about the danger of getting drowned while bathing in rivers, lakes and tanks especialy during upcoming festive season.

Human rights officials from UN calling all the international community act immediate, to stop the bloodshed in Myanmar.They urges this after around 114 civilians were reportedly killed by Myanmar military junta on Saturday. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said that he was deeply shocked after the murdering unarmed civilians and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has said that Washington is “horrified” by deaths in Myanmar on Saturday. Tom Andrews, UN Special Rapporteur for human rights in Myanmar said that its time for world to robust a coordinated action as words are not enough to protect peoples lives.
Two persons dead after being trapped in a gem mine

[28/03, 10:27] Prasa: Two persons dead after being trapped in a gem mine Two mens have been reported dead after being trapped in a gem mine in the Weralupitiya area in Avissawella yesterday (March 27), Police Media Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana said. The incident had happened around 7 pm last night and thr power supply of the mine waa interupted and cut off due to the heavy rain occurred last night. The two persons who entered the mine at that time got trapped inside. Deceased men were reported 44 and 45 years old and the bodies have been placed at the Avissawella Hospital, DIG Ajith Rohana said.
