Four people were arrested for 6 million worth ice and Three areas has been identified as hub for drug distribution

Four suspects were arrested by Sri Lanka Navy with 01kg and 21mg of Ice (Crystal Methamphetamine).

They were arrested during a operation led by North Central Naval Command in the Urumalai beach in Talaimannar on March 3 while trying to smuggle drugs in to the country via sea.
The street value of the drugs believed to be around 6 million rupees

Narcotic drugs which were package concealed in a fishing net was taken in to naval custody and later handed over to the Talaimannar Police for further leagal actions.

Also Police Spokesman (DIG) Ajith Rohana states today after a special anti-narcotics operations conducted in Weligama, Imaduwa and Midigama areas as the police has identified as as the hub for the distribution of narcotics in south province.
