15 years old girl assaulting case – “Kotuwe hamuduruwo” talked about the 15 years old girl rape case

The famous Buddhist monk Kotuwe hamuduruwo was named as one of the main suspects of the 15 years old girl raping scene. China bans fake PCR certificates from Colombo Main private Hospital

The Chinese Embassy in Colombo says that the results of the PCR tests conducted at a leading private hospital in Colombo to diagnose corona infections are unacceptable. Therefore, the Embassy states that the approval of the PCR tests conducted by that private hospital on Sri Lankans will be revoked. The embassy said the decision was taken because several people who have been confirmed not to be infected by recent tests at the hospital were reported as Infected in China. The Chinese embassy said the new decision would take effect on July 13 in the interests of all parties.

Covid 19 pandemic Sri Lanka – More cases of covid 19 delta variant infections identified in the country

The Director-General of Health Services says that 24 people infected with the delta strain of the coronavirus have been identified so far. Dr Asela Gunawardena further said that these infections have been reported including 14 previously identified and 10 newly identified. He also said that random investigations have been launched to find out the distribution of the Delta variety in the country.

Chairman of Litro Gas, has been removed from his post

Anil Koswatte, Chairman of Litro Gas, has been removed from his post and the Secretary Treasury has informed Sri Lanka Insurance. Mr. Thishara Jayasinghe has been appointed as the Chairman of Litro Gas Company. He has also informed that this course of action should be taken as soon as possible with immediate effect. Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation owns a majority stake in Litro Gas.

Duminda Silva was released on a special pardon from the President after being sentenced to death for the murder of Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra. Fishermen and residents in Jaffna have reported that a large amount of hospital waste has been dumped on several beaches in Jaffna over the past few weeks. Residents say that the past few days number of hospital waste dumped ashore the coast of Jaffna punkudativ kurikadduvan Jaffna nayinativ Sea coast and seductive. According to the locals Hospitals discarded syringes, saline bottles, blood from medical equipment, drugs and other detention waste accumulated. Residents of the area suspect that the hospital waste is not from hospitals in the Jaffna district and that the waste dumped in hospitals in India may have been dumped into the North Sea due to the dumping of waste into the sea. Meanwhile, the people of the area have taken steps to inform the officers of the Jaffna Fisheries Inspectorate and the health officials regarding the incident.

Pfizer vaccine received today is going to use in Mannar District – State Minister Channa Jayasumana

State Minister Channa Jayasumana says that the stock of Pfizer vaccine received in Sri Lanka today will be used for vaccination in the Mannar District. He stated that 27,000 doses of Pfizer vaccines were received in the country today. Earlier, 26,000 Pfizer doses were brought to Sri Lanka and used to vaccinate Sri Lankan students who is planning to go to abroad and to people in the Mannar District.

The price of a new 18 liter gas cylinder is going to reduce – The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA)

The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) has decided to reduce the price of a new 18 liter gas cylinder introduced to the market by local gas companies. Accordingly, the Ministry of Trade is preparing to issue a gazette notification that the price of a cylinder should be sold at Rs. 1150. It has also been decided to specify the weight of the cylinder in kilograms as consumers who buy gas cannot measure it in liters. The launch of this gas cylinder in the market with low weight caused great inconvenience to the consumers and there was a severe shortage of ordinary domestic gas cylinders in the market.
