Covid 19 pandemic Sri Lanka – More cases of covid 19 delta variant infections identified in the country

The Director-General of Health Services says that 24 people infected with the delta strain of the coronavirus have been identified so far. Dr Asela Gunawardena further said that these infections have been reported including 14 previously identified and 10 newly identified. He also said that random investigations have been launched to find out the distribution of the Delta variety in the country.

Anil Koswatte, Chairman of Litro Gas, has been removed from his post and the Secretary Treasury has informed Sri Lanka Insurance. Mr. Thishara Jayasinghe has been appointed as the Chairman of Litro Gas Company. He has also informed that this course of action should be taken as soon as possible with immediate effect. Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation owns a majority stake in Litro Gas.
