The price of a new 18 liter gas cylinder is going to reduce – The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA)

The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) has decided to reduce the price of a new 18 liter gas cylinder introduced to the market by local gas companies.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Trade is preparing to issue a gazette notification that the price of a cylinder should be sold at Rs. 1150.

It has also been decided to specify the weight of the cylinder in kilograms as consumers who buy gas cannot measure it in liters.

The launch of this gas cylinder in the market with low weight caused great inconvenience to the consumers and there was a severe shortage of ordinary domestic gas cylinders in the market.
