Grama Niladharis has to report on the progress of the vaccination program

A circular has been issued directing Grama Niladharis to report on the progress of the covid vaccination program in each district. The decision was taken at a meeting of the covid Suppression Task Force chaired by President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa recently.  Accordingly, the progress of covid vaccination should be reported under 4 categories. The circular also states that the information should be provided under the age groups. Accordingly, every Grama Niladhari should report this information before the 31st of next month. However, Grama Niladhari Associations point out that this program is not practical.

Women who received both doses at the same time spoke to the media

The woman who faced the incident of giving both Moderna vaccines simultaneously in the Peradeniya area expressed her views to the media yesterday (22). Sri Lanka reported 42 covid 19 related deaths
