People are collecting and storing fuel

Long queues have been seen at many petrol stations across the country since yesterday afternoon. This situation had arisen due to the people storing fuel saying that there would be a shortage of fuel with the closure of the Sapugaskanda oil refinery. People carrying vehicles and other containers could be seen refueling. It was also reported that stocks at some petrol stations had run out.

A terrorist attack to the protest rally organaized by the opposition?

Opposition leader Sajith Peiramadasa’s security guards have complained that the protest rally organized by the opposition in Colombo today could be a target to a terrorist attack or an organized attack. Further, there is no impediment for workers to keep their remittances freely in Sri Lankan foreign currency accounts as before or to convert to Sri Lankan Rupees. Accordingly, the Central Bank of Sri Lanka urges the public to be vigilant regarding such false information.

New health guidelines are issued

The Director General of Health Services yesterday (15) issued the Health Guidelines, which will be effective from November 16 to 30. A car collides with a train

A car collided with a train while crossing a railway crossing in the Waikkala area, police stated. The accident had taken place at the Thambarawila railway crossing in Waikkala last evening (15). India becomes armed

India has bought a Russian-made high-powered missile system called the S-400. According to the Indian media, India has received its first stock of weapons. The air defense systems are expected to be operational by January-February 2022.
