An exporter who won his life

Media reports the story of a courageous young man who started a manioc escape for rent and continued his livelihood until he exported manioc.

He started the business with a small amount of money and today he has been able to employ many people.

Ajith Ratnasiri, 42, is a businessman residing in Panahaduwa, Udawalawe. Exporting manioc, oranges and papayas has become his main business.

Many people nowadays make a living by starting their businesses. It includes about 200 people, including 65 villagers.

About 60,000 oranges a week are exported and about 70,000 kilos of manioc are exported under the existing minimum facilities.

Ajith Ratnasiri, despite the challenges, has developed his business on his own and has become a successful exporter of foreign exchange to the country.

If there is any support from the government to further develop the business, it will be a relief to Ajith.
