The Ceylon Electricity Board says that the stocks of diesel and fuel required for power generation are available only for today.
The diesel supplied to the Kelanitissa power plant will expire today, said Board Spokesman Andrew Navamuni.
He said that the Sapugaskanda and Colombo port floating power plants have fuel only for today.
He says that the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation has already been informed about this and accordingly, if diesel and fuel are not received today, the electricity will have to be cut off.
