Foreign media reported about a mass wedding ceremony held in Uttar Pradesh, India. There 468 couples were married. This was organized by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, India.

 According to Indian sources, they belong to different religions and have different family backgrounds. The newlyweds were given a cash grant of Rs. 35,000 by the Uttar Pradesh government. The money was deposited in the bride’s bank account.

In addition, prizes worth Rs. 10,000 were also presented. The total cost of the wedding will also be borne by the Uttar Pradesh government. Mass weddings are gaining popularity in India.

According to the Indian media, this method is especially popular among those whose economy is not strong. According to Indian sources, the fathers of the girls who were inconvenienced due to having to make gifts in addition to the expenses for the wedding have been given this relief.
