Police have arrested a man who threatened to rape the daughter of Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli. The man was arrested by Mumbai police yesterday, Indian media reported.

The threat was made on social media by a spectator who was angry with the continuous defeats of the Indian team led by Virat Kohli in the Twenty20 Cricket World Cup this year.

 Mumbai Police have arrested a man who was working as a software engineer in Hyderabad. With the threat being made on social media, there was a lot of talk around the world about the incident.

He had posted the relevant note on his Twitter account as a Pakistani national. The suspect was arrested by the Indian Police following a preliminary investigation.
