The Secretary of the Sri Jayawardenapura Kotte Sasanarakshaka Bala Mandalaya, Ven. Daluwetiye Buddharakkitha Thero says that even two novice monks and their parents from each district were selected to the opening ceremony of Kushinagar Airport in India the selected group was cut down and taken away by the Anunayake Theras for the relevant visit.
He also says that novice monks even made passports and spent a lot of money to travel to India.
He says this is as serious a problem as it is a sin.
