Energy Minister Udaya Gammanpila says that if the Ministry of Finance does not provide a subsidy for fuel prices, fuel prices will have to be increased in the future.

He said that the Ceylon Ceylon Oil Company and the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation have applied to the Ministry to increase fuel prices.

 He said the requests were already being considered and that no final decision had been made.
