The body of a corona patient who escaped while receiving treatment at the hospital was found near the railway track, according to the Hikkaduwa Medical Officer of Health.

The victim had been receiving treatment at the Balapitiya Hospital and had escaped from the hospital the day before yesterday.

The body was later found dead at a railway crossing in Madampe area. The body of the 52 year old victim has been taken to the Balapitiya Hospital.
