Water Supply and Drainage Minister Vasudeva Nanayakkara have been hospitalized.

According to the media reports that he has been admitted to the hospital to receive treatment for a heart attack.

The minister has been admitted to a private hospital in Colombo and is scheduled to undergo stent surgery, hospital sources said.

His spokesman said the condition was not accidental but had been planned and used on medical advice.
