Sri lanka received 200 million dollars financial assistance from Bangladesh

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka has approved the provision of financial assistance requested by Sri Lanka from Bangladesh.

Accordingly, Sri Lanka will receive financial assistance of US $ 200 million. The request was made during a recent visit by Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.

Sri Lanka is currently facing a major foreign exchange crisis. Sri Lanka’s foreign exchange reserves stood at $ 4 billion in March. Bangladesh currently holds about $ 45 billion in foreign reserves.
