Dr. Hemantha Herath, Director of the Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Response Unit of the Ministry of Health stated that there are several things that people should be concerned about before and after receiving the covid vaccine.
- Before getting the vaccine, the doctor at the injection site should be informed about the diseases he has and gets the necessary advice.
- Do not strain unnecessarily until at least three days after receiving the vaccine.
- If you have a normal fever, take two paracetamol tablets.
- If the fever persists for more than 48 hours, seek medical treatment.
- If you have any other complications after getting the vaccine, see a doctor.
- Bathing is not a problem if there is no fever.
- If there are people with chronic diseases, get the necessary medicine on time.
- There is no prescriptive drug that will stop the flow of emotions, though their effects can be curtailed.
- Always wear a face mask. Follow the rules of health.
- Keep the card provided at the injection site to receive the second dose.
