Economic and Political Crisis in Sri Lanka-India should come forward to develop Trincomalee as an energy hub – Sri Lankan High Commissioner to India

Mr. Milinda Moragoda, the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka in India, has expressed confidence to the Indian media that the loan grant from the International Monetary Fund is not huge, but based on the confirmation received from it, Sri Lanka will be able to bring other aid and investors.

 Mr. Milinda Moragoda has also stated that the aid amount from the International Monetary Fund can be considered as the first step in an economic journey and that he appreciates the incentives provided by India for that.

Furthermore, Mr. Milinda Moragoda has stated that India should come forward to develop Trincomalee as an energy headquarters.
