Current Situation in Sri Lanka-The bus and train services in Colombo will resume after the curfew is lifted

The curfew imposed in the Colombo district at noon yesterday was lifted at 5.00 am today (15).

Acting President Ranil Wickramasinghe issued this order yesterday according to the powers assigned under the provisions of the Public Security Ordinance Act.

Ceylon Private Bus Owners’ Association said that after the lifting of the curfew, buses started running in the Colombo district.

Its chairman Mr. Gemunu Wijeratne said that about 10% of the total number of buses are scheduled to run today.

 The Sri Lanka Transport Board announced that the Colombo Langama bus service also started after 5.00 am.

Steps have been taken to run trains as usual today.
