The Public Utilities Commission has permitted the Electricity Board to cut electricity in 23 zones today.
Accordingly, areas in categories A to L will experience power cuts between 8.00 am and 6.00 pm, 3 hours and 20 minutes and between 6.00 pm and 11.00 pm for 40 minutes.
Areas in categories P to W will experience power cuts of between 10.30 am and 4.30 pm and from 4.30 pm to 9.30 pm for 40 minutes.
