Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy says that his forces freed 7 Sri Lankan students who were detained by the Russian army last March.

 He said that these students were taken into the custody of Russian forces in the .arkiv region when the Russian forces invaded Ukraine last March..

 The President of Ukraine has also mentioned that they were able to rescue many other civilians including these students who studied at the Kupyansk Medical College.

The President of Ukraine also mentions that these people were held as prisoners in a camp by the Russian forces.
