The employees of the Sri Lanka Television Corporation are currently protesting in the lobby of the Corporation due to the fact that they have not yet been paid their salaries for this month (August).
They point out that they have to engage in this kind of agitation to get their salary every month.
The management is taking steps to reduce the salary of the ordinary employees only without cutting the privileges of anyone in the management of the corporation.
Union representatives indicate that they will continue to protest until the due salary is paid. All trade union officials representing the Sri Lanka Television Corporation are participating in this protest.
