The Association of Relatives of the Missing Persons Due to the North East War states that former President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa should be brought before the International War Crimes Court.

 Its Chairperson Mrs. Leela Devi Ananda Nadaraja claims that the former President responsible for the Tamil Genocide and the people who supported it should be brought before the War Crimes Court.

She also said in Vavuniya that it has been decided to hand over a memorandum to the United Nations Human Rights Council in this regard.
