The Supreme Court ordered today to further extend the order imposed on former Finance Ministers Mahinda Rajapaksa and Basil Rajapaksa from going abroad without the permission of the court until September 5th.
The order was issued by the five-member Supreme Court bench led by Chief Justice Jayantha Jayasuriya after considering two basic rights petitions filed asking the government to issue an order to investigate the people responsible for the current economic crisis.
The Supreme Court informed yesterday (10) that the prohibition order issued to former Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and former Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa from going abroad without the permission of the court will be further extended until the 5th of September.
