A stock of drugs mixed with marijuana was found in Bhagwantalawa

Chief Inspector Shantha Bandara said that four suspects were arrested in the afternoon of (06) on suspicion of 6 kg of 800 grams of the drug mixed with marijuana, which was illegally imported into Sri Lanka from a foreign country.

 It has been identified that the drug stock was packed for sale and the four arrested suspects are residents of the Bagavantalawa area.

The police station commander said that based on the information received by the police, they were able to find this stock of drugs while checking the houses of the four suspects and the shops in Bagwantalawa town.

Also, the four arrested suspects will be produced before the Hatton Magistrate’s Court, and the value of the stock of drugs seized by the police has not yet been assessed, said the Bagwantalawa Police Station Commander.
