Foreign travel ban for sports officials

Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs Mr. Roshan Ranasinghe informs that from now on the officials who take the main decisions of any association and the officials of the ministry should not represent the sports series apart from an exceptional matter.

In an announcement issued by the Ministry of Sports, it is stated that such participation will incur unnecessary expenses.

It is further stated in the announcement that the Minister of Sports ordered that in dealing with sports associations and international associations if they participate in special programs, discussions, conferences, etc., a detailed report should be given in advance and the Minister’s approval should be obtained for the same.
