A person died in a shooting last night (30) at Vivekananda Kanda Road, Coastal Police Domain, Colombo.

The police said that the shooting was done by two unknown persons who came on a motorcycle and fled.

 The police say that the person injured in the shooting died on admission to the National Hospital.

A 51-year-old resident of the Kotahena area has been murdered. The body has now been deposited at the Colombo National Hospital. The reason for the shooting has not yet been revealed.

The coastal police have started investigations to arrest the suspects who have fled
