Economic Crisis in Sri Lanka-3 arrested while trying to sell items stolen from the presidential palace

Three individuals were arrested in the Welikada area who were ready to sell some items stolen from the Presidential Palace.

The police said that on the 9th, the protesters entered the Presidential Palace, stole 40 gold-coloured brass balls that were fixed on the walls to hang window curtains, and then arrested the suspects when they were ready to sell them as antiques.

Three arrested people aged 28, 34 and 37, residing in Rajagiriya, Obeysekarapura, were arrested.

The Police Media Unit stated that the relevant suspects are to be handed over to the Colombo North Division Criminal Investigation Division, which is handling the investigations at the Presidential Palace, for further investigation.
