A group of members of the National People’s Liberation held a protest in Hatton town centre raising black flags yesterday.

They protest against the arrest of an unarmed group who were staying at the Galle face protest ground, who were attacked by the security forces in the early hours of the morning

The members of the National People’s Force who carried out the protest said that the arrest of a group of people by the security forces brutally assaulted the group and local and foreign journalists who went to cover the media while they were very peaceful in the Galle Face protest ground was an act against democracy.

They also mentioned the youth community of the entire country has become stronger after the attack.

In the next few days, everyone will reorganize and come to the Galle face area and start the protest in a new face, they said.
