Asia cup 2022 hosting removed from Sri Lanka due to economic and political crisis

According to the report, it has been decided to remove the hosting of the Asia Cup cricket tournament which was to be held in Sri Lanka next August from Sri Lanka and give it to the United Arab Emirates.

This is due to the current economic and political instability in Sri Lanka.

When  officials asked whether the tournament can be held in Sri Lanka under these conditions, the Sri Lanka Cricket Board informed that there are problems related to providing all the facilities.

After a discussion held on Thursday, it has been decided to hold the tournament in Dubai instead of Sri Lanka.

The Chairman of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, Sourav Ganguly, has confirmed it and told them to prepare for the match in Dubai between August 27-September 11…

If there was no economic and political crisis in the country, Sri Lanka Cricket would have been able to earn a large dollar income by hosting this event.
