The All Ceylon Petrol Station Owners Association claims that 90% of the petrol stations in Sri Lanka are out of service today. Its president said that fuel orders ordered by gas stations are not received properly.
Meanwhile, the Ceylon Petroleum Private Tanker Owners’ Association says that the Ceylon Petroleum Statutory Corporation has given about eighty orders to transport fuel only for essential services.
Mr Shanta Silva, its secretary, also mentioned that between 150-200 filling stations of the Indian Oil Company have been allowed to transport fuel.
