Economic analyst Mr Dhananath Fernando states that if the inflation rate rises to 60%-70%, the country’s currency will lose its value.

He says that a system should be prepared to get money to the people with economic difficulties while controlling inflation.

He also said that the current inflation in Sri Lanka reached a figure of 54% not only because of global factors but also because of local factors.
