US Ambassador Colombo Julie Chung stated that the United States assists only partners with globally recognized monitoring and assessment standards.

She added that oversight and transparency were essential in the implementation of the aid program.

She added that this would help in monitoring the expenditure of aid as well as ensuring that support is provided to those in need.
