Many Sri Lankans are starving and begging in the streets of Dubai

Due to the current economic crisis, a large number of Sri Lankan youths who have gone to the United Arab Emirates for employment have become unemployed.

Many of these people have come to the emirate on tourist visas thinking that it will be very easy to find a job there.

However, it is reported that a large number of visitors have been begging without jobs for several months.

They have been deceived by employment agencies and spent Rs. 4-5 lakhs on tourist visas to various provinces in the United Arab Emirates.

But they have not had a job for months and are walking down the street hungry in the heat. These employment agencies have misled the youth and sent them back to the country claiming that it is easy to get a salary of around Rs. 500,000 in that country.
