A new strain of the coronavirus has been identified in 63 countries.
Dr Chandima Jeewandara, Head, Department of Allergy Immunology and Cell Biology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, commented on this on his Twitter account.
He points out that this variety is spreading rapidly and has a strong effect on the immune system.
He also said that Sri Lanka should also pay attention to this.
