Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has requested public servants who do not belong to essential services to refrain from reporting to work on Friday (20), given the shortage of fuel that exists in the country.

Speaking in Parliament, the Prime Minister also requested the general public to avoid all non-essential travel on Friday (20).

“Petrol and Diesel will be available during the weekend, and the shortage will be addressed. We will have fuel until June,” the Prime Minister said.
