The emergency regulations that came into effect on the 1st were removed from midnight yesterday (5).
This was stated in an Extraordinary Gazette Notification issued by the President.

President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa declared a state of emergency on the 1st of this month in accordance with the provisions of Part II of the Public Security Ordinance, which powers the President.
