Today (22) the Public Utilities Commission has given permission to the Ceylon Electricity Board for a power cut.

Areas in the A to L categories will experience power cuts between 8.00 am and 6.00 pm for 3.00 hours and 20 minutes and between 6.00 pm and 11.00 pm for 1.00 hours and 40 minutes.

In addition, there will be power cuts in P to W category areas between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm for 2 hours and 40 minutes and between 5.00 pm and 9.00 pm for one hour.
