The Public Utilities Commission has given permission to the Ceylon Electricity Board to cut power for more than 5 hours today.
The power cut will last for 5 hours and 15 minutes in several areas. But for zones A, B and C, the power goes out for 4 hours and 40 minutes.
Meanwhile, the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) said that information on power cuts in areas can be obtained from the CEB mobile phone software.
