The Minister of Health Keheliya Rambukwella states that details regarding the salaries and allowances of those working in the health sector will be published in a full page in the newspapers.

He said this while he was commenting on the protest being done by health professionals these days.

“In the next few days, a full page advertisement will be placed in the newspapers regarding the salaries and allowances of those who are currently in the health sector. Then everyone will be able to get an idea about the salary of these people. The average nurse works overtime for about 400 hours. If we take it for 150 hours, a third grade nurse would normally pay Rs. 1,02,000 and  a first grade nurse paying Rs. 180,000”
