A little girl who was bathing in the Rakkanawa waterfall in the Nuriya Kirihena area has drowned.
The accident took place yesterday (04) morning, police said.
The girl drowned while bathing with another group and later succumbed to her injuries after being admitted to the Deraniyagala Hospital.
The deceased has been identified as a 9-year-old girl residing in Anhettigama.
